National Collegiate EMS Conference
The National Collegiate EMS Foundation annual conference is taking place 2/29/08 - 3/2/08. It is open to everyone and STRONGLY recommended for officers. It is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to learn from your peers and also from some pretty sweet lecturers :) Its also an excuse to do some sight seeing in Philly and bond with your fellow EMS members! It costs $70 to register and the hotel and travel costs will be added to that. However, through the sweet deal that we get through the NCEMSF and efficiently carpooling it is possible to do this fairly inexpensively. The costs will look approximately as follows:
- about $25 per person per night for the hotel (if we stay 4 people to a room) = $75 per person
- $16 - $20 per person for gas (round trip) with 5 people to a car
- $70 registration
TOTAL COST = about $165 at most.
** keep in mind that some of your meals will be provided. Also, if 5 people want to share a room because you're cheap or into snuggling, I don't see a problem with that... it's been done in the past. This is, after all, a bonding experience!
1. Register for the conference at their website.
2. Email Larissa Shnayder letting her know that you have registered
3. Don't forget to mention if you have a car in aforementioned email
4. Get excited! |
